Maddie
What a great performance. Too bad it was wasted by a coaching staff which choked on play calling with the game on the line, again. Maddie is firing on all cylinders, throwing the ball and Huff looks unstoppable, yet they feature the QB run with the game on the line? Stupid! We haven't been a QB run team since Lynch graduated. Yet we rely on it so much that we throw the jump pass off it with the game on the line with a 5-foot-something QB? Get a clue, staff. Idiots! Use the QB run to surprise the defense not as the bread and butter. Use Huff, Golladay, Turner, Wimann, Saffold, and Blake as the bread and butter. They're great! You morons!

RE: Maddie
Maddie's performance also shows how bad our staff is evaluating talent. How many gems are sitting and wasting away on the sideline? I saw Maddie in practice last year and felt great about him stepping in for Hare if Hare got hurt. I was surprised he was moved to receiver but I figured his injury affected his ability to throw. I think SF should bring in a consultant to evaluate our guys to see who should be playing.

I have a feeling our soph. RBs are being completely wasted... They've looked great in their one or two carries.

I thought Graham improved greatly in the off season. Words from a coach if I remember.

So who can really say this team has talent?
I don't believe we do. We have been sold a false bill of goods.

Golladay, Huff, Turner, and Wimann are legit. Golladay is a first round talent if he run the 40 fast enough. They're just being put in the back burner in favor of Bouagnon and the QB runs.

You may be right. However, the difference in the talent from last year to this year does not translate to what we are seeing; we just did not lose enough players/talent. It sure does not explain the lack of fundamentals, excessive penalties, and lack of emotion, etc. I still keep coming back to something off the field/in the locker room.

WIU players, coaches, and fans just voted the NIU coaches as the most valuable players of the game for taking the ball out of Huff and Golladay's hands. Congrats staff!

Good one; I laughed! However,it is not so funny when you realize how true this is! This coaching staff fails on some many levels that is is a disgrace!

RE: Maddie
I was at Gately for the practice. About 75% of it I don't think anyone stood out. I heard people say Graham, I didn't see it.
He definitely digressed since last year. He looked painfully slow on a roll out today.
No idea why switch wasn't made earlier. Either they were worried it would be worse or the flashes every blue moon were a reason to keep giving him a chance, like pass intf. or hitting your NFL wr for a long td every 100 plays on poorly thrown balls .

RE: Maddie
I've always been a Maddie supporter so I'm glad he should get a chance to take the reigns. Hare proved me wrong before the injuries, but I felt someone like Maddie could more effectively run the offense. He's crazy strong for his size, has a pretty strong arm, and is the best athlete we have at QB. He seemed the more obvious heir to Lynch scheme wise. I look forward to seeing what he can do as the starter this week.
