What home and home games vs. other G5 teams would you like to see USM schedule in fb?
I'd like to see us try to get a rotation of home and home games w/ the MWC. Nevada, Fresno State, Boise, San Diego State, UNLV, etc.
Ideal non-conf. schedule:
Home vs. Fresno State/Nevada/San Diego St./Boise
Away vs. Alabama/LSU/Auburn etc.
Home vs. Kansas/Colorado/Kentucky's of the world
Away vs. Fresno/Nevada/San Diego St./Boise or Kansas/Colorado/Kentucky's of the world
Food for thought...

I agree about scheduling ECU, Tulane, Houston, and Memphis. Might also get Louisville, Okie State, BYU, and Navy to come on down.

If CSU stays I would like us to just move to the MWC at this point and disregard the AAC and CUSA all together.

Sticking to the G5 restriction:
1. ECU
2. Tulane (New Orleans!)
3. Any of the Service Academies
4. UCF/USF
5. Memphis
6. Colorado State
7. ULaLa

this all day long.....I've stated such on the cooooosa board since 3.0 began....
I'd love to see MEM/ECU every other year with a smattering of Tulane....couldn't care less about whooston....the others would be just fine as h/h.....PERIOD.
in ~decade when the elite finally split from the wannabees, it will happen....and then we won't have the 'whore' games that some make weak at the knees....we'll only have each other...

I'm thinking some of the Yankee schools wouldn't mind signing a home and home just for something different.
Rutgers
Pitt
Ohio Bobcats
Syracuse
Maybe something like Princeton.....Yale.....Harvard would be cool.

RE: What blah, blah, blah
We won't see any of our old friends now in the AAC coming back to Hattiesburg until we join the conference. They know the history, and are quite content to not play us anymore, thankyouverymuch, much less as we represent lowly CUSA. We might get Tulane to bite just because we're a good gate for them, and Navy/Temple/UConn may not be so averse, but getting Memphis/ECU/UCF to come back, I just don't see happenin'.
I'm all for getting some good MAC & MWC teams in here, but few have the consistency of Boise. You schedule the others while they're 10-2 and ranked, and by the time the game happens, they're 4-8 and forgotten.
I'd be 100% on board with an extended home-and-home with UL-L. That series is good for both schools' gates and has a long history. We also should play Ga Southern more often, which at this point means "at all." They have a nice rep, basically us if we'd waited another couple decades to move up.

Schedule the local teams. They'll bring fans. Provides a good atmosphere. When we started scheduling home and homes with South AL and Troy I hated it. But it's really growing on me as the landscape changes.

ULL. Easy drive, great fan support, great traveling for both fans, they actually care about their team, etc.
