CHARLOTTE – Safety Dean Marlowe is doubtful for the regular season opener against the Denver Broncos with a hamstring injury.

Marlowe returned to practice on a limited basis this week. Head coach Ron Rivera said the Panthers will bring practice squad safety Marcus Ball to Denver in case they need an emergency option.

Just got a notification that Marlowe is expected to play this week.

Marlowe put on IR after aggravating his hamstring against SF.
