Big problem facing the Tigers in that scenario is the 17-18 season as there is a good to great chance that Dedric goes pro and and one would have to assume senior to be Christian Kessee is being brought in for this one season to shoulder some of the scoring load, then he is gone. WE NEED TO LOCK DOWN AND SIGN COME RECRUITS IN THE EARLY SIGNING PERIOD.
Depends on how we get there...19-14 because Rykhoek actually is a player and Jimario can hold down the middle in relief and the team gels to make a strong run to the AAC title game and maybe even makes the NIT, maybe even wins a game or two...probably feel pretty good even with the lackluster 2016 and 2017 recruiting to date...
OR
19-14 with Rykhoek breaking his hip in the first week of the season and Dedric being forced to play center and internal tension between Tubby and Keelon and his boys, who never dreamed they'd be forced into risking injury at the DI level by playing undersized post positions and a late skid of losses when teams just pound the ball inside? Probably not so good, especially when the Lawsons leave because of the total bullshtt of the roster situation.
Time will tell obviously though...
Nostradamus?
I mean, come on...I couldn't have directed the script any closer to that prediction.
Quite impressive

247 rankings - look for the teams with new coaches, genius
What's even more significant is our ranking. I've just used Saluki's metrics (find the rank and check out what the five above and five below last year did) and found that, since we're ranked # 91, every statistical guideline indicates we're going 19-14 this season. I guess that means we lose in the conference quarterfinals and no post season again. Too bad.
Boy, you must not like statistics that much if you are going to use that metric to gauge a TEAM'S record solely based upon one recruiting class.
But that would explain why you post what you post.
I can't believe anybody took me seriously -- well, you I can believe, but nobody else.
The problem with that metric would be the same as the problem with your "points & rebound predictor" that I was making fun of. Your nonsensical method would predict Duke's bottom recruit, who wouldn't see the floor for two years in his role as 3rd string point guard, would have the same expected points and rebounds as some Horizon League team's top recruit who was expected to play 30 minutes a game at center just because some rating service ranked them at a similar number.
I'm not saying Keon won't average 4 and 2 or that we won't finish 19-14. What I'm saying is that there is little correlation between the variables in your metric (and in my fantasy one.) No one who knows anything about statistical analysis AND basketball would use a single metric like that to predict such a thing, let alone make the claim that it represented the culmination of all possible statistical analysis in those predictions -- "every statistical guideline would indicate . . ." The metric is poppycock.
Now, as far as predicting our record or how well Keon might perform, there's no problem at all with doing that based on no math at all. Just don't make the claim that it is unless you can show it and don't expect anyone to believe you unless the math makes sense -- unless you don't mind being called out for it. There IS a strong correlation between doing so and the type of response you can expect.
Good lord. There is so much awesome in that post. At some point, people need to understand its knowledge not hate.
Problem is, you backed off your methodology. Should have stuck to your guns. As it is, there's no told-you-so to be had.

Did Tiger 87 win the Internet or is he just a Life Champion?
Is he the sharpest knife in the drawer?
Are his cleats always laced up tight?

I can't believe someone is taking credit for predicting our record based on this. You do realize that I pulled the 19-14 out of the air as part of a joke, right? And that's what people like Hoop were responding to? But predicting Chad would suffer an injury, though, that one took some real clairvoyance! That deserves a trophy.

Kedren. I liked that guy. When Kedren drove to the basket, people moved out of his way.

I didn't blame this season on any injuries. And I'm not sure there really was a Kedren injury last year.

I don't think you understand how to use RRR. Nobody's even arguing with you, lol. The thread has devolved into silly nonsense. There's nothing happening here.
