I'm surprised Hud a.k.a. "the best football coach in the history of football who has no time for FCS call-ups" couldn't just scare opposing offenses with his phenomenal biceps.

No offense, but Boise would wipe the floor with every team in the Sun Belt. As well as every team the Sun Belt played.

Or maybe you guys just aren't as good as you thought you were.
I mean, you just fired a defensive coordinator after the first game.

I would be very worried about the timing of this and the McNeese game coming up. They are in no way a cupcake.

Is this the beginning of Hud losing his team?

Yes, but you knew that going in and still fired the DC after one game.
Why not just fire him after last season? What's the point of waiting for Boise to inevitably score 40 on you?

I know this is a defense mechanism and you don't really believe that. IMHO there are at least three or four teams in the SBC that wouldn't be taken to the woodshed at home.

Probably not to the tune of 35-0 in the 2nd quarter, but Boise probably beats everyone by a couple TD's even on the road.

question for any ULL that knows, why was he fired after one game? Its a really odd time to let you DC go, from the outside it looks like a panic move by the HC.

Look. He is one of the highest paid coaches in the G5. He won't be for much longer if this ship continues to sink. This could be a sacrificial move to keep the heat off, or it's something personal.
I do know this. Coordinators don't last long here.

I think he was gonna be canned regardless. He seemed out of sorts before the game. Didn't walk the the team prior to the game. Just strange all the way around.

Absolutely believe it to be true. Boise will run the table and be ranked in the Top 15 at the end of the season. I'll say it again, this includes App St after seeing your performance, no team in the Sun Belt can touch Boise St.

ULL could never get it together last year, but I've seen you guys look terrible early in the season only to put things together in time to finish strong. It'll be interesting to see how this team responds to such a rocky start. I think your team will get a lot of its confidence back if it can manhandle McNeese Saturday night.

It's not the Joe's that's costing us games it's the X's & O's. I bet other teams have a field day prepping for us. I played 1.5 seasons as a Cajun under Stokley before focusing on track, and I know what's coming just from the pre-snap formation. It's unimaginative and extremely simple. It would be one thing if we executed like Boise but we don't execute well at all.
