The key is Tulane...if the spreadsheet is right they are out...have they been specifically said to be in?

Rice is out just because of Houston.

stAte has no TV market and a small stadium.

AF may have gotten them a pass to the next round with a FB only option.

Tulane could be left around as a token "academics" school... it may have come down to them or Rice for the possibility of an AAU school and in order to not oversaturate Texas they opted to leave Tulane on FOR NOW. Not out of the question
