I'm calling them out on point 3. I believe that progression in the trenches is why we will win this game.
Everyone keeps forgetting about Jarvion. I'm thinking he'll be back to form this year and since he's a little under the radar with all the focus on Bogan, he will do some serious damage.
Having Franklin at 110% would add yet another major weapon to this already potent offense. A big bruiser like Franklin causes terror in defensive front 7s. He'll be great in short yardage situations. And since he's been named the co-starter, the staff seems to think he's ready to go.
I know he's been hampered by injuries ever since the 2nd half of the 2014 season, but he'll be ready in this one. And when he's at full strength, he's like a bulldozer. You aint stopping him.
Doesn't it seem like Bogan has been just as good, if not better, in short-yardage situations? He just has a knack for slipping in the hole and getting tackled forward.
True, Bogan seems to always find a way to slip through for critical gains. The difference is that Franklin's size will flat out wear down opposing defenses. Tackling a 230 lb back gets real old real fast. Hitting teams with the combo of Franklin-Bogan-Bellamy will keep them on their heels all day. Control the clock. Control the flow of the game.

MSU does the same thing. They have the quick elusive backs in the first 3 quarters then they bring in LJ Scott to impose their physical presence.

RE: Northwestern
Talked with my younger brother the other day re the upcoming tilt. He played guard at Purdue with Mark Hermann and Scott Campbell just missing Jim Everett at QB.
His kids have gone to Wheaton North HS (Chuck Long alum) the same HS that the NW QB Thorsen kid attended. Says he is the real deal. Also that their RB is top notch (missed the name) so if Throsen isn't Thorwing well the Cats can run.
WMU by 5. Haldemann splits the uprights to Persrod's dismay.
I know Haldemann graduated. Just tweaking PR's and others schnozs for continually throwing kids under the bus because their pride was hurt over a dumb ass football game.
