Are you going with some friends/family? I'm kinda tempted to make the drive for the day...

RE: Northwestern
Seems trite at the moment, but on the way to work this morning, listening to ESPN Radio, Mel Kiper put Northwestern on high alert.

Even matchup on paper, great coaching and talent at WMU. Corey Davis going in the 2nd Round next Spring. Northwestern better bring their A Game.

02-13-banana Got me excited hearing our program touted in a way typically reserved for P5 schools on ESPN.

Love the football centric take. "They presumably won't play on Saturday".

Please if they ever see campus again it'd had better be in the back of a police car doing transport taking a shortcut. POS's.

Quote:The arrests will probably not play a tangible factor in the football game next week

Seems like a bizarre take to me.

Knowing that your teammates did this won't be a distraction to the players?

Knowing that kids you recruited and signed off on to be a part of your program did this won't be a distraction to the coaches?

Dealing with the press, the administration, the boosters, and all of the nonsense this will entail won't be a distraction to everyone in the program?

I would have guessed that these arrests would played a MAJOR tangible factor in the game.

I guess we'll see.

Yeah I didn't quite get that either. These are kids, of course it'll be a distraction.

The team is doing something VERY awesome for a 5th grader who had a tough weekend this evening. They'll come together and grow higher.

RE: Northwestern
Guys... we are in the final week!!!!! We have some WMU football this week! Lets just start to think about who IS playing...

We have a great QB... a plethora of awesome RB's... a top 5 wide receiver... A solid defensive back end... Lets start to worry about what we HAVE... and not what just happened with a bunch of morons doing moron things...

(we need to make sure that our coaching staff prevents this character stuff going forward... but right now we have what we have..... and I am SURE that these guys are as surprised as we are.... )...

Gameday notes: http://sidearm.sites.s3.amazonaws.com/wm...estern.pdf

Includes a slightly updated depth chart.

Changes:

- Slot position is a 3-way tie between Michael Henry, Keishawn Watson and D'Wayne Eskridge. Sounds like Eskridge will be playing as a true frosh.
- Wesley French is still listed at backup LG, I assume this went to print before his switch to DL.
- Andre Turner listed as the starting DT.
- Antonio Balabani is the backup RE.
- Alex Grace is the backup SAM.
- Davontae Ginwright is now the starting FS, Justin Ferguson is the backup.

I'm calling them out on point 3. I believe that progression in the trenches is why we will win this game.

I don't think our line is that bad. Didn't realize we gave up that many sacks tho. But both our lines have improved

Everyone keeps forgetting about Jarvion. I'm thinking he'll be back to form this year and since he's a little under the radar with all the focus on Bogan, he will do some serious damage.

Having Franklin at 110% would add yet another major weapon to this already potent offense. A big bruiser like Franklin causes terror in defensive front 7s. He'll be great in short yardage situations. And since he's been named the co-starter, the staff seems to think he's ready to go.

I know he's been hampered by injuries ever since the 2nd half of the 2014 season, but he'll be ready in this one. And when he's at full strength, he's like a bulldozer. You aint stopping him.

Doesn't it seem like Bogan has been just as good, if not better, in short-yardage situations? He just has a knack for slipping in the hole and getting tackled forward.

Jarvion has a rare combination, like OJ had back in the day. This time I'm not banging his wife.
