You should have seen Bradshaw when he was here.

Just a few off top of my head.

Mike Thomas from Southern Miss put on a clinic against us last season. But when it comes to the best opposing player ever, it has to be Colin "I Hate America" Kaepernick. He would single handily gut us with a 3rd and long TD scramble almost every game we played Nevada. Plus it never failed that the game against Nevada was always for bowl eligibility and he would snatch it away from us in the second half.

The time when you had Fletcher, Bradshaw, Chris Johnson, Kevin Smith and Matt Forte running around with the rock. The mid 2000s was the heyday for backs in cusa.

Just a few:

Austin Davis - USM
Damion Fletcher - USM
Deangelo Williams - Memphis
Justin Hardy - ECU
Blake Bortles - FUC

Marshall faced TY Hilton in the 2011 Beef O' Bradys Bowl (St Petersburg Bowl) and shut him down for the most part. The biggest play Hilton was involved in was getting destroyed by Alex Bazzie on a kick off return.

There are a ton of excellent players I've seen but I thought the question was opposing CUSA players & not just any player.

Id probably say Latavius Murray. He shredded Marshalls defense last time we played ucf. They also had some guy return two kickoffs on us that game, but I can't remember his name.

The most dominating performance was Louisville guard Fransisco Garcia. Watching him at 6'6" going against our 5'10"-6'0" guards in Reed Green Coliseum was truly a "men against boys" situation. I remember our guards attempted to trap him multiple times and he'd hold the ball straight up and our guys were jumping trying to get it but never even came close. He'd then hit the open guy for a dunk or trey.

No doubt, Kaepernick has crazy athletic ability. That time he scrambled from sideline to sideline on 4th 15 from about the 40 yard line look like a playground game to him. He speed was deceiving because he was so tall

that was a tough game to sit through...,.just a tad different than the La Tech game until the miracle FG in the '11 monsoon,...

there weren't 100 folks ln the stands when ol' boy made that kick AND their failed 2-pt conversion with their receiver wide the fk open....I'm one of the wet ones that will never forget some thingys....it led to making case keenan our biatch in the end (fk off whooston....we know ad and fisher never saw things eye-2-eye...good luck case...ya gonna need it)

but I digress.....I can't help myself sometimes....and google can suk it too.....their algorithm development is akin to applying lotion in da humidity....or seeing gnr live and hearing that freaktoid shrill off key,.... (I tried to find the vid.....what a game that was)

TY played for FIU and I believe he said originally "if you'll count when they were in Sunbelt...." But yeah bring up Kaepernick's anti-American ass kind of pushes the line.

Joe Webb, UAB
Vinnie Curry, Marshall
Charles Carmouche, Memphis (basketball) - for that buzzer-beater that broke our hearts. Pure luck. We led by 18 earlier.
A.J. Rompza - UCF (basketball) - the player I loved to hate!
Anthony Rendon - Rice (Baseball)
Shaun King - Tulane
Zach Line - SMU
