quite frankly, I find his biological mother to be one of the most tedious people I've ever googled. I couldn't endure the interview for long enough to get to the logistics about conception and it's aftermath. I suppose it's possible that she was trampy enough that the father didn't know. it's possible that she was trampy enough that she wasn't totally sure who the father was.

look, his great backstory is the whole point. he has a great life after a totally ****** up start to life, and a lot of it is because he lives in a great country where we try our best to not leave people behind. that's the country he's dumping on right now, and some of us, including you, apparently, resent it.

It is comments like this, and indeed this whole thread, that vividly demonstrate the validity of Kaepernick's stand. The American flag, like the Pledge of Allegiance to it, are symbols of an America as it should be, not as it is now, or as it has ever been in its history. Wanting America to live up to the ideals on which it was founded is not the same as "hating" America.
