LOL. I don't think the Pepsi cans will be any match for NIU...
#1Western Illinois (7-6; 3-5 away): They're tougher than record indicates, playing a Tough SEC-like schedule for D1AA. But losing 44-0 to Illinois, 2 of their wins in OT, and 1 win by 1pt -- they weren't a dominant team in D1AA, but certainly no push-over. They come in ranked #24 in FCS this year.
If NIU upsets San Diego State -- I could see this being a potential trap game. If they lose to SD-State -- I see this as the Opposite of a trap game. In the end, I don't care if the FCS team is ranked in the #20s which reflects last year. If they were under .500 in FCS on the road, even playing tough FCS competition, there's no reason they should give NIU a run for it's money past 3 quarters if NIU came in napping a bit.
#2@Ball State -- I see this as a trap game, if BSU plays decently well in OOC season. NIU could easily be looking past BSU toward @WMU. Especially after WMU is CMU. Easily to overlook Testicle Tech when PJ Fleck is parading right behind them.
#3Buffalo -- I can see this being a trap game coming after NIU beating CMU at home. NIU really wants to beat CMU, and it'd be a big sigh of relief when that happens. With a bye week after the Buffalo game, I could see NIU being too comfortable going into it and risk slipping if Buffalo gets things rolling.
