Even if we did join they would not be our pick . We would definitely get a say in who would come.

Yeah cuz Navy is totally hopping at the chance to join you. FOH with that BS!!

Ok it's their only shot. Regardless we all know ND has no reason in today's environment to become a full time football member

We ain't joining I just want to burst that bubble of UConn joining with if we did. They are screwed if the Big 12 doesn't take them. To bad also they don't deserve it.

I just want to burst your bubble, that in the very unlikely event ND does join, UCONN will be joining with them. I'm trying to figure out why you're such a red-a$$ towards UCONN.....and don't give me that Geno crap. Muffy, or Muffin, or whatever the he.ll her name is, is just as guilty as Geno.

RE: UConn President says no plans to lobby the Big 12
A "no comment" would have sufficed. It's one thing if you're not going to beg and publicly schmooze the Big 12 into giving you serious consideration, it's another thing to defiantly and publicly say that you won't do it. These Big 12 Presidents, as have been showing, love the publicity and the attention. Does the public/political backing make or break a candidate for the Big 12? Of course not, but, in this situation, saying nothing would have been a lot better than going against the other candidates and the apparent desires of the Big 12 Presidents.

Lol, we will get the choice if we join. Funny you think it would be you.

Good luck with the Big 12. I really do hope it happens because that is the last life boat imo.

Her name is muffet, Geno is rude and abrasive but he is the best.

Why if we play a large part in the decision would we go to bat for you? To deny we wouldn't chose 16 is pure fantasy.

Unfortunately for you, almost certainly not. I just don't think the ACC is in the cards for you. There's no room at the inn.

I disagree. I can see the other 4 conferences going to 18 and the 5 th conference being the American with the leftovers of the 12 pulled to the big 4. UCONN being one of the ACC. Aresco pulls off American as the 5 conference in the power 5. Also the power 5 structure is already the legislated structure. American with get 10-15 million per team on contract with ESPN.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha and then you woke up and had to change your underwear.

OK.... i absolutely howled when i read the line about waking up and changing your underwear. Oh to be 15 again. Yuk... what a mess.

Not sure what changing underwear means? You for sure got lucky to be in the BIG: UCONN will be in ACC. My opinion I hope AAC can build and keep all teams.

UConn President Says No Plans To Lobby Big 12
STORRS — UConn President Susan Herbst said Monday that she will not join other schools lobbying to join the Big 12 athletic conference.

"The Big 12 just has to take their time, make their decisions and they will,'' Herbst said during an interview in her Storrs Office Monday. "And whatever happens, we continue to try to win and to make sure our student athletes are having a great experience, academically and socially."

----

While others give lip service to conference unity, UConn walks the walk. I salute UConn and it's President. This business of conference jumping at least at UConn seems to have hit its limits. The AAC is lucky to have a school like UConn as it's bedrock. Others may leave, but stability starts with unity, and I'm sure that Tulsa, ECU, Temple, Navy appreciate what the UConn President has said.

Was the SMU game their last rodeo?

UConn is the eastern equivalent of Kansas and would be an excellent addition to the Big Ten at either the 15 or 16 slot.

And this is why UConn REALLY needs the Big XII to stabilize itself (which may seem like hoping for a powerball ticket to hit, as goofy as the Big XII has shown themselves to be), and hang onto the schools that the Big Ten could swipe. If the Big Ten can't do that, then snagging UConn becomes a lot more likely.

I honestly could see this happening. The Big going east and west to fill out things at 16.

We would be an excellent fit in any conference. ACC, Big 10, Big 12...it doesn't matter. Except when it's time to actually invite a school, then suddenly everyone is citing chapter and verse the reasons UCONN should rot in the AAC.

Personally, I think Houston, Memphis and UCF should be made to "rot" in the AAC. But then I'm just an alleged bitter UCONN fanboy who apparently doesn't know his place....or something.

President Herbst {Calls Big12 President she is acquainted with}: "Some speculation in the press is giving us a change at this. Should we put any effort int?"
Big12 President acquaintance: "Nah, you are just in there for due diligence, you have basically 0 votes right now."
President Herbst: "OK, thanks."

I don't understand the hatred and entitlement from a Rutgers fan. Congrats, you were invited to the B1G. Not sure why you would make fun of other schools' desires to make a similar move.

It's not like you guys were winning championships in the Big East or even the AAC.
