Week 1 at Wyoming Predictions

Because it's a prediction...

Yes, odds can change daily but you can make a prediction or bet whenever you want. These are everyone's predictions if the game was played tomorrow. Things could always change

A lot closer than anyone expected.
NIU 28
Wyoming 24

We stop them inside the 10 in the last minute for the win.
Heart Attack #1 for the season.

So you get TV and halftime will be at close to 10pm and the game will be over after midnight. What difference is TV coverage when the time is not conducive to watching.

I'm assuming the game was part of the MWC's TV contract (in whatever order rights are assigned to the networks) so I doubt Wyoming had much, if any, say in when the game kicked off. Although I'm not really sure what you're asking since you already stated you knew it was because of TV.

RE: Week 1 at Wyoming Predictions
I'm hoping for smooth sailing and that but I have concerns. The time and altitude could cause some problems. Coach Bohl is a proven winner and a hell of a coach. Wyoming has improved and is rated much higher this season than last year. I really hope it isn't a heart attack game because we really need this one to get the season started on the right track.

RE: Week 1 at Wyoming Predictions
I think this game will be very close. Everything going against the Huskies in this one. Elevation, travel, and kickoff time. This reminds me of NIU @ UNLV in 2014 and in 2013 @ Idaho. Inferior teams that we should of cleaned the floor with but got us in their stadiums and made it way too close.

It will be a great sign of our new coordinators if the team can come out and execute for 4 quarters and take care of business. Should set the tone for the season either way.

Week 1 at Wyoming Predictions
This board is so weird to me sometimes. After all we've accomplished the past decade in football you'd think our fan base would have a little more confidence. Wyoming was one of the worst teams in football last year and we're nervous about this game?

How do you know they've improved so much since they haven't played yet? Just making an assumption because it's a new year. Well same for us. I think we're going to be better this year as long as we stay healthy and especially on offense now that Bob Cole is gone.

Can we please have a little confidence guys!? We're not opening at Florida State here...

I'll just stay as one of the few that think we're going to win big this game

I've Got:
NIU - 35
Wyoming - 14

If Drew is as healthy as they say he is NIU should walk over this opponent. I don't care how improved they may be from last season, this is a bad football team we are playing. It may take a quarter to get going, but I expect NIU to take it to them starting in the 2nd quarter and especially in the second half. Though if they are adjusted to the altitude well enough, hopefully it's a laugher from the start. Let's go!

I know the answer is TV, but why is Wyoming kicking this game off at 8:30 Wyoming time. Its a disservice to their home fans. So you get TV and halftime will be at close to 10pm and the game will be over after midnight. What difference is TV coverage when the time is not conducive to watching.

This is why... TV..like u said. Only 3 games that start after 8pm on the first football weekend.

AZ at BYU 930
NIU ay Wyoming 930
N AZ at AZ ST 945

I'm not being negative just pointing out some challenges we will face. Whoever posted that this game is similar with UNLV and Idaho is right. We should have mopped those teams but because it was early season and on the road, those were close games. I'm new to this blog thing and I've read some pretty negative comments that made me shake my head. However I refuse to be cocky about this game. I don't trash talk our team but only pointing out a few things that are making me nervous. In the end I hope we end up running away with this one so I don't drop in that thin air

You watched NIU get prison raped by Boise State in their last game, right?

Yes I did, with an injured freshman QB vs arguably the best G5 program as a whole the past 15 years. Great comparison to a 2-10 Wyoming team and a healthy Drew Hare

I hope you are right and that your optimism proves true. I am trying man but that game stays with meand sickens me. I can only imagine what a lot of the players and coaches are feeling.

Has anyone been to their board? I wonder how their fans feel about the first game and season as a whole?
