That's very true. Being down in Texas one of the rumors is that schools are saying they want Houston for political reasons but in the end the Texas schools dont actually want another Texas Big 12 school when they already own the Houston market. So will be interesting to see how this all really plays out, obviously.

Just my opinion but it seems to me that Baylor, TT, and TCU stand to lose more than UT with the addition of UH. I can see why all TX schools would oppose the addition but these 3 seem like the ones that would lose the most.

Tx is only sort of playing nice because they want to build a research campus in Houston, something Houston is fighting. The nice play in the sand box will end.
Memphis, UC
Then there several possibles including FB only choices.

I think the OLE MISS series will end for sure once the BIG12 invite comes.
I hope they end the bball too.
It definitely will if/when football does.

There are no cities that will realistically get an MLB franchise by relocation anytime soon, and it certainly wouldn't be Nashville.
San Juan maybe.
Don't sleep on Nashville. It is being discussed. I don't expect it within the next 3 years - but very possible within the next 5-10 years.

Mexico City. The things with MLB is you need a big regional population to draw people to a Tues night game against the Marlins.
Charlotte is the largest metro without a MLB team.

And Charlotte can't pour concrete fast enough. That city is growing. Construction all over the place.

Nashville metro is adding jobs and population at a FAST rate.. In 5 years Nashville will have either a MLB team or an NBA team. Book it!!

I have not heard anything about MLB in Nashville. Now or in the future.
In 5 years I think we have a MLS team. That's been in the works for several years. They will start with a 2nd or 3rd tier with intentions to grow it to the MLS like Orlando did.
Btw, I work in sports.

MLS, maybe. There are so many expansion clubs getting around, plenty in the SE now too.
I can still buy that for Nashville over an MLB club. Much more so. They aren't expanding and nobody seems to be moving, either.

Agreed. It's getting saturated. Nashville would support a MLS team over MLB. It's easier to support the MLS over the MLB. Not to mention, Nashville is a transplant city and not a big baseball city. Memphis is a much better baseball city.
Also, the Sounds just built a new stadium.

I can easily see a MLS team in Nashville. I do not see MLB or NBA in Nashville. But of course the State of TN will do everything in their power to make it happen if they can.

It's already started. There are two ownership groups looking to bring in a professional team and build a stadium. One group was already awarded NASL team.
MLB and NBA make sense for Memphis, not Nashville. Also makes better sense for Tennessee.

Memphis would be great for M.L.B., but it is one broke ass city. Memphis would have to knock down the L.B. and build a domed stadium that can be used for baseball and football. Where is the money gonna come from.

There in lies the problem. The financials don't work, but Memphis is a baseball city.

Just look at Northbound I-55 during a big StL weekend series.

LOL, Memphis is NOT a baseball city. It has a Cards fanbase.
It's a basketball city and a football city.
Putting a baseball club here would be like putting a second NFL team in Dallas. Nobody would care.
