Seems bizarre, but the PAC12 network has not been that lucrative. Would those three schools entertain Big 12 bids? Texas and OU coukd be very happy with those schools.

That'd be awesome.

Pretty sure it's a cold day in hell before it happens though

RE: Twitter says Bowlsby is talking with Colo, Ariz, and Ariz St
Hmm ... doesn't compute for me.

Unless Colorado really has had that bad of an experience in trying to recruit from California instead of Texas. And why would Arizona's want to switch from California affiliation to Texas affiliation, now?

Just biting on it for a second, which is probably ridiculous since you didn't even include the supposed twitter message itself, if it could lure those three, then might as well take Nebraska back too!

- Nebraska, Kansas, K St, Colorado, Iowa St, AZ, AZ St
- Texas, Tech, TCU, Baylor, OU, OK St, WV

Then you could make the Fiesta Bowl tie-in between the PAC and B12 every year and the Cotton Bowl tie-in between the B12 and Big Ten every year. SEC and ACC can have the Sugar and Orange Bowls.

Sure they would. You always listen. There is a YUUUGE difference between listening and doing.

I would love for that to happen instead of being stuck in a watered down AAC

I don't see how all three could happen -- maybe one in particular if the PAC was displeased, had a replacement in mind, and would take some particular incentive to let one out of their GOR.

But if all three wanted to and found a way to make it happen, either UNM or BYU would be the logical fourth.

ESPN has actually listed UCLA as a dark horse candidate, as they want to get out of the fb shadow of USC. They aren't too happy with the PAC12 Network payout either.

Big 12 West:
UCLA, Arizona, ASU, Colorado, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma

Big 12 East:
West Virginia, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma State

Protected crossovers:

Oklahoma-Oklahoma State
Texas-TCU
Texas Tech-Baylor
Colorado-Kansas
Arizona-West Virginia
Arizona State-Iowa State
UCLA-Kansas State

(The last four are probably a bit of a coin flip, although presumably Colorado would want to have one of the Kansas schools on a permanent basis.)

BYU instead of Colorado State.

Pretty sure if this is actually true that the B12 is trying to make things nice for BYU to join.

Some wild thoughts jump out.

The Big12 and PAC-12 are planning a merger!

OR the PAC-12 wants to simply replace Scott with Bowlsby!

The 2 conferences are merging AND Bowlsby is taking over as the super commish!

In the end the B12 will expand with 4 G5 schools.

Or one (CSU, Cincy, or Houston) and BYU.

But we can try, and dream! 03-cloud9

BIG 14
BYU
Colorado
Arizona State
Arizona
New Mexico
Texas Tech
TCU

Texas
Baylor
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Kansas
Kansas State
Iowa State

West Virginia goes freely to ACC

PAC-12 down to 9 what happens I don't know, Big Ten could swoop in or they could expand with UNLV, Colorao State, San Diego State, or Fresno State

WVU will not be in the ACC. If the ACC wanted them they could have had them already. Unless Notre Dame goes all in, I see no future ACC expansion
