Wow!

On this am ESPN SportsCenter...Host read the following comments made by ECU's AD:

"I believe strongly East Carolina deserves to be in the Big 12 as we can deliver the entire state of North Carolina."

Finebaum said the AD should go into politics because he is making speeches/comments that he can't back up with facts....Finebaum mentions the 4 ACC Schools plus the "border" schools in South Carolina...

Host is laughing in hysterics...when he can barely say "ECU couldn't even deliver the greater Greenville area"...

Finebaum then said "I live in North Carolina...and until you read that statement, I had no idea that school was even IN North Carolina."



While some of their cracks weren't that factual...it was a major embarrassment attack at ECU.

In regards to expansion...Finebaum said Big 12 maybe shouldn't expand...but if they do...BYU makes the best fit (even if its not a good fit..."its a million miles away"), then mentions all the other candidates..(UCONN, Memphis, Cinci, UCF and Houston).

Agree.

Now that Finebaum lives in the Charlotte Area (ESPNU/SEC Network Home), maybe ECU should invite him to a home football game...then make Finebaum go to a FOOTBALL game at Wake Forest and Duke.

Then and only then, maybe his views on ECU would change.

ECU should take the high road and open up the red carpet...because if he rejects that invite...then he is a bigger weasel then he already is.

Finebaum is a TN alum, and thinks every school outside the SEC is useless, especially G5 schools.

Finebaum is a toolbag and unless its the SEC, its second class to him. I can't stand him and refuse to listen to his show on XM.

Agree...which is why only SEC diehards (there are still a lot of them) listen to his radio and/or TV show...and while ESPN likes to use their on-air personality on other ESPN branded shows...it was somewhat "shocking" to see an ESPN Host and even Finebaum "rip" some embarrassing comments during a SportsCenter Broadcast.
