Favorite spot on campus?
I can barely handle the offseason any much longer, FB season is needed.
So, what's everyones favorite spot on our beautiful campus? Any hidden spots you like to go to? Any spots you have never been to, or at least not in a long time that you'd like to see now?
My favorite spot is the Glass Bowl, hands down. I also have a low-key favorite spot in the middle of UHall, the two gardens surrounded by brick everywhere you look. Quiet and peaceful, a nice place to eat lunch in between classes.

Used to like top floor of the library, still had those old wooden carved up tables and the wooden chairs that conformed to my butt, much more comfortable that plastic padded modern chairs.
Also liked the dining room in Libbey Hall, that's gone too.
Rooftop garden on top the new business building is nice and the two quads (?) in U-Hall but I really liked sitting on those old stone steps. They also had a nice wearing to them.

904 Parks is a good one, as is the track but the space under the bridge over to Parks will always be special.

Glass Bowl hands down with Savage Arena a close second...
I may have spent a lot of time at the Rec, Library, or Student Union but those places in no way compare to both sports venues.

Glass Bowl and Savage Hall. Fat Daryl's in it's heyday. The Beach, great
place to have a private party. The roof of Carter Hall at the end of Spring FB.

Quiet spot on the ottawa river just west of the library bridge.... If we arent talking the best sports venues in the conference.

The courtyards in U-Hall and the big open staircases that lead into the building. Just a very nice building.

It's kind of sad, but there is a bench overlooking a pretty wooded area in a secluded, off-the-beaten-path part of the campus (west of the Glass Bowl, north of Greek Village) with a plaque dedicated to the memory of Melissa Anne Herstrum, the nursing student killed by a UT police officer some time ago. I like to ride my bike around the campus during the evenings and sometimes I make a point of visiting this spot. It's nice way of remembering Melissa. It's a very pretty spot.

All great places. I don't know if campus is more beautiful at night, during the day, or in the morning. I was on campus just last night visiting for fun, and it looked like school was in session. There were at least 100 people walking around Centennial Mall playing Pokemon Go.

RE: Favorite spot on campus?
I think they've been doing some things to give the Mall some appearance of life in the evenings. Movie nights. I walked through once and students were having mock battles, renaissance festival kind of stuff. This is important IMO, something that was lacking while I attended. Place looked dead then. Population supposedly over 20K and no one to be seen. Maybe because classes were so spread out, Scott Park, Rocket Hall.... I liked classes at Rocket Hall, after the remodel, it had several good hangouts but it does take a big part of the population away from any synergy. At the same time, it was possible to move through the Union. 6 of one....
So, I'm the only one who mentioned the roof-top garden. Did I give away a quiet place? Stupid EIB, stupid. HH has such a nice big flat rooftop, be another nice location for establishing a glass enclosed study area/dining with a view. There's a couple places in U-Hall that have hallways running along the outside instead of "living" spaces. Some of those maybe could be converted into nice hideaways.
One thing I could always count on at my alma-mater were OLD comfy couches to snooze on usually in spaces claimed by some department's grad students. UToledo needs more comfy couches/degree related student lounges. Or maybe they exist and I haven't found them in my wanderings.

I know about the roof-top garden. It's right up there on my list of favorites. I actually tried to go there last night but the building was locked after 9pm.

Favorite spot, Carter East 312. LOL.
A spot to escape from people, either one of the courtyards at U-Hall when the weather is nice. Very little foot traffic through them so getting some work done was never a problem.

A similar poll on Ay Ziggy Zoomba revealed the overwhelming answer by BG Alum to be "under the tree" on their campus...

BGSU has some nice curbs too! As good a place as any there to have a sit and contemplate, "what am I doing here?"

I've heard the tombstones are just great in the fall and spring.
