If this guy wasn't a former USM commit that we felt was 'stolen' from us by a couple of former coaches, I doubt 99 would've brought it up. Hopefully he can get a second chance at a juco or something.

He was never a USM commit. He was committed to Louisville, then something happened there and he was back on the market just before signing day. It was rumored that Southern Miss was looking at him (he may have even taken an official visit to H'burg), but then he signed with UTSA.

Hope this young man gets his life on the right path, whether that be at UTSA, juco, or somewhere else. Right now, football may be one of the few things that can save him from himself. But, it appears he is headed for some jail time.
