No just referring to the lack of access. It's a midl major problem. I would love to see even cheap stuff for us at Walmart or Target. Just doesn't happen unless you have a Houston like run I suppose.

We have gear at both in Hampton Roads. It gets picked over quickly, but it's there.

A big issue for our fans is the lack of access to ODU gear in other parts of the state. You can get Tech and UVA gear pretty much everywhere and you even see some UNC and UT spillage along the shared borders. But you can't find much ODU gear anywhere outside of the 757.

That issue goes far beyond just merchandise. We have very little brand awareness in the rest of the state. Were there but you have to look for it in everything (TV, news, radio, gear, etc) Highly unlikely you will come across something ODU related by chance unless in you're in the 757.

I had an interesting experience yesterday, I work at a hospital in Fay, NC and I went to see a patient who had an ODU shirt on. I asked her if she went there, and she said no. I asked her where she got the shirt and she said someone in her family gave it to her. I asked where the family was, and she said Maryland. So you never know where you might end up seeing someone with ODU Monarch colors on!

Do the hats actually say the university name on them? If not, the Georgetown hat works for ODU, ECU could be JMU, W&M is GMU etc.

The hats do have the school logos on the side. There was a debate about this a few weeks ago on the JMU site...nobody seemed to have a clear answer to how JMU managed to get a date, we know it's not because JMU has an athletic marketing dept. that got involved because the JMU logo on the had is not the recently updated JMU logo...
