It will be great to have you all back next year. (I hope we are on your schedule, so you get to play all "legacy" conference mates in your first year back...UTEP, USM and Rice are all in the West.)
The only thing that would make this return even sweeter is that your President would take a hike, but guess that's not going to happen, so we'll just join in continuing best wishes for your return!
Will UAB be playing a C-USA schedule in 2017? I thought they were going to have a "transitional" year..
The transition year is not playing this year. A full C-USA slate in 2017. Championship and bowl eligible.
It was that or we go after your cash cow in Tuscaloosa.

We were not allowed to donate to football period by the Trustees. Straight from our AD's mouth in my presence.
SERIOUSLY? How did that ever get passed/agreed to?

It wasn't formal or voted upon....it was by threat from several henchmen trustees of the evil overlord trustee (now retired)

I don't think you can poo poo what they are accomplishing. It doesn't matter where the support was. G5 programs don't have unlimited resources devoted to marketing or development. Many were likely waiting for an event such as an OCS announcement or a season turnaround. I think it bares mentioning that the besides the near killing of the program the other event that is sparking and sustaining this drive is Bill Clark. His arrival, turning around of the program and perseverance may be bigger than the killing and rebirth.
