Yeah, I thought Guadagni was the future?
Me, too. Really liked how he played his senior year at Hudson, in particular.

He took more reps than MJ. He's number 6.

There we go. A transfer from Findlay that somehow suited up for the Rockets last season but we're just now hearing about him. Okay, got it!
Committed to Findlay but doesn't appear he ever made it there. He's in the Rocket team photo from 2016, but not listed in the roster, which is a bit strange. My guess, he decided to walk on at UT and see what would happen. Don't understand him being listed as a true Freshmen though - redshirt Freshman makes more sense.

-they played 10 minute quarters
- Id would say 1000 people showed up for the hour long scrimmage which had teams divided equally
-Candle was behind each offense and pretty much let the coaches handle the spirited game which was won by Woodsides team 25-13
-Woodside looked very impressive with confident passes with lots on them. He took his team down the field in 1:45 for the second score that was fun to watch...I thought #19 Dionte Johnson looked fast and strong, got behind D a couple times, he was red shirted last year with injury.
- Cody Thompson had the best game with several spectacular catches he went high for including a TD.
-Chris Green played but had a heavy knee brace on. Didnt look fast or physical, I followed him a few plays he has a ways to go to get on field.
-Transfer Peters and Julian are neck and neck for back up, they looked good
-Swanson didnt play much but Seymore ran hard
-#whoever 36 is caught a touchdown and seemed to excite people... perhaps a tightend
- Overall I was impressed with the hitting and enthusiasm, the winning coach took a gatorade bath
Anyone to get excited about on the Defensive side of the ball? If not, we can expect another November collapse and second place finish in the West.
Could not identify DE Maryland transfer as some jerseys had no name . Rs Eldrick Mathews made some plays from DE and was excitable. Could not identify Felder either.
.... Ross and Childress played a lot and looked improved, M Moore as big as ever. rushing yards were hard to come by
BTW Green Norwood was lining up at DE...I honestly think we looked more physical. There had to be 8 sacks (whistle blown) so someone was bringing the heat. As spring games go I thought they looked sharp.
Maybe its just me but we seem to be loaded at WR. Player after player looked fast and caught the ball... not sure Jon Vea played.
Jon'Vea played. From these highlight videos, looks like he had 2 TD catches:

Guadagni was the one who threw the TD pass to the mythical Bradley.

Honestly outside of Woodside the Qb's were about equal. I thought MG had a little less on his passes but it was windy. I always thought Julian could play but we may never know, has talent but the weird set of circumstances at NIU set him back I guess.
Not sure what our record will be but The Rockets will be fun to watch. We will be a tough out for anyone.
Also give credit to CC for moving the game outside ...and it was about as close to a game as spring games get.

There's little question in my mind that we'll move the ball & score points. If the O line comes together, even better.
Now the D...I'm concerned. I'm hoping we don't have lots of games where it's a question of whether or not we get the ball back one last time.

I've always said that if the D can give up an average of less than 20 points per game than the W's will add up quickly.

Figured giving up more points is a national trend, we stack up a little better than I thought... 125 D1 teams and we were 40th and 4th in the MAC... hmmm can you win a championship with #40?

BGSUX was #84 with their last MACC in 2015-16, NIU #51 2014-15, WMU #15. The Falcons had the #5 scoring defense in 2013-14.

the thing with BG is that everybody else in the East Division was probably around #100...........bad football over there.
