GS's rich history is littered with games against teams with "superior talent" who lined up against the option with only a week to prepare and were completely clueless when the offense is executed by good, experienced, athletes at game speed. We'll see how that works out for A-State.

I think you are a little too confident in some unproven players this year. Ark State has a new QB, things can easily go very wrong. I don't care how good he looks on tape or how many stars they may have had 12 years ago. With that being said, I do think Ark State has the most talented team in the SBC, but I don't think the gap is as wide as you think.

On a related note, what is your ranking of the talent in the SBC? I know your #1 and suspect #2. What about the rest? I'll give your statements more merit if you prove you actually have done some research. To this point, I can only assume you haven't looked beyond Ark State.

A-State's DC Joe Cauthen stated that from that whipping that the Cajuns put on the Red Wolves 2 years ago (his first time facing them) he learned that the Cajuns were using option principles and changed his approach. Also, Walt Bell ran option type stuff with a handoff/pull it then run pass option in practice for 2 years with Fredi Knighten being a very fast QB.

Red Wolves weakness on defense will be at corner probably. But I bet we've never fielded a faster defense than we will in 2016.

I can tell you that: nothing. We don't run the flex and they have zero players or coaches left from that match up. The Texas State game from two years ago has as much relevance as the Navy game 6 years ago. Everyone we faced in the second half of that year ran for HUGE yards no matter their offensive style. Chuks Ota was playing a lot of minutes two years ago as a freshman. He just quit football and was 3rd team on the depth chart going into this season.

I've got you as a 2nd rate SBC program, not third rate, but probably the 2nd best team in the SBC in 2016, but their is a huge gap between you and #1. It is an insult to them to compare them to your team, so i will not, and UL is a much better program than yours so I will not insult their program by comparing them to you.

Still would not swap AppSt and GaSo for all the programs that left for CUSA.

Hey Seminole Indian I get what you're saying here and appreciate it. GS has always seemed to have a bunch of runts that have played above our potential but on paper their is no way our runts stack up against the Red Wolves. Hope you can make our game this year so you can check out our players in person.

I have seen a lot of very good college players that never played in the NFL. Also seen great pros that were not all that great in college...so poor argument.
