Kevin White, Associate AD for Sports Programs, said that he only needs "one more game for 2020 and one for 2021".

He also admitted that in 2010 that after we beat tech, he was very close to securing a game at South Florida. Their scheduler said, "we'd be a fool to play you" and it fell through. Great to hear the name of specific programs ducking out.

He confirmed 2018 is only five home games. Home and Home with UT-Chattanooga in 2019 and 2020.

Conversations with the Ivy League, Furman in the SoCon. They're hesitant to play us. We had an opportunity to play Arkansas but we passed.

I'm doubting the rumor that someone said we're playing Liberty in 2019. If that's true, we're looking at a 5 game home schedule in a 12 game season. That would be an epic failure.

It would also be two straight seasons of only 5 home games.

edit: relistened to kevin white. he said 6 home games in 2019 and 2020. With WVU and UTC announced, there's no way we're playing at Liberty. Gotta love rumors.

It sounds like the one home opener in 2018 and first two home games in 2019 are scheduled. The question is who are they?

That rumor came from the two school's athletic directors. With that being said, some time has passed. It was stated in the Spring of 2015 when we pushed them to the side in order to do the SMU deal.

NDSU just released their entire 2018 and 2019 schedules today. Why can't we move that quickly? They have no FBS games until 2020. Teams are actively dodging them.

My guess would be that the MVFC with only 10 football schools has some sort of rotation as to which teams rotate off the others' schedules each year. With 12 in the CAA that makes scheduling 7-8 conference games a bit more complex (I guess?)...

Would love to know our schedule farther in advance no matter the reasoning!

That Is solid for FCS. It is a middling program, but at least has some history of making it to the playoffs. I hope this is replacing the awful games Bourne has been scheduling with the likes of St Francis, Central Conn St, and Morehead State.

Yes you can. It’s the “tough” series everyone wants. Don’t tell them UTC’s record this season.

I didn't read it, but do we have the 2019 game? That's a 12 game season. Help me out, would we want the home game in the 12 game season, or would we want it in the 11 game season of 2020? We screwed ourselves back when we had the Charlotte deal. We played Charlotte at BFS during the 12 game season giving us 7 home games, then played them in Charlotte on a 11 game season giving us only five home games that year. Using that knowledge, it seems we'd be better to have the home game in 2020.

I like playing So Con schools instead of NEC or MEAC schools. Better competition.

Any chance we buyout the NSU Road game next year and get someone to come to BFS for a sixth home game ?
