I thought about the "lost a sea" part...but Ginger.

What time does your yacht and captains pick us up at the dock this year? or are you taking the chopper out to sea?

They had us at 7.5 wins last year. I'd say they know a little something.

I'd say the big positive this year is most the games against the better teams are at Nippert (home) where UC has mostly played very well under Tuberville. It's been life on the road that has mostly been a total clusterf***.

Last year didn't give UC fans much to feel good about, but if you are looking for a reason for some optimism there is that.

RE: the tuberville effect
I'll be honest and say I don't know what to expect this year. It'll probably take 2-3 games and even then who knows. There are just too many questions. Will Gunner finally remain upright and is the personal issue behind him? If not, will Hayden Moore be able to step up his game? Will any of the new receivers be play makers for us? How will the team adjust to the new offensive coaching staff? Will the defense finally show a pulse and who will be calling the plays on that side of the ball (hearing it will be Coach Tubs himself). Has the special teams (particularly kickoff/punt return) been fixed?

We probably won't know the answers to these questions until a quarter to half way through the season.

I'm inclined to agree. However teams that UC defeated at home last year could spoil this season if they flip to bad road losses if this pattern holds. I think we all want the 'Cats to win them all; we're still just shell shocked by some head scratching losses under this staff.

I'm willing to go on a limb and hope that ol CTT has one last good year left in him. They say every good fighter has one good fight left. I think he had to have figured out that 7-6 'aint' gonna cut it' here and I think we are due for a good year.
Plus, I'm been impressed with the coaches he has brought in.
I'm sticking with this for now.

GA: Coach. Uhm, Coach. Hey Coach!
TT: [Mumbles] [Clears throat and swallows] Yeah?
GA: You told me to wake you up 15 minutes before our planned film session.
TT: [Groggy voice] What time is it?
GA: It's 5:30 sir. You wanted to review film at 4:30 but I couldn't wake you.
TT: All right. Give me a minute...I'll be down after I get some coffee.

I'm with you. I still don't care for Tuberville, but I have said it takes 3 years to build, and the 4th year to really get going. If his 4th year is going to be a pile of crap, he needs to be fired as soon as that is shown.

But yeah, I agree with the coaches he brought in. Though, the ex-NFL coaches are unproven recruiters.

IMHO he will be "retired" if:

UC wins less than 8 games
UC wins 8 games but gets humiliated in another bowl

On the flip side, if the team wins more than 10 games he will be allowed to play out his contract here, regardless of how they do the year after.

I'll need to see more of the new coaches before I make a judgment. I will say, though, that the DBs looked much better in the spring game - aggressive, made plays on the ball, etc. Something we haven't seen in a while. I do have significant concerns about Prunty's ability to call the defense, however.
