UVa 757 Poster
Taken from Sportslogos.net post.
Poster shows all their players from the 757 Area Code.
Some big boys. Did UVa turn them that big? Or were they already huge before they started there?
I wonder how ODU fairs in comparison in developing their players.

RE: UVa 757 Poster
Where's Wilder's poster? I guess he can't be bothered with his own school right now, he's too busy finding other homes for our local talent.

Always got to take a shot Wilder huh? Check ODU roster there are a total of 22 players on it from the 757. UVA have 9 and VT have 14. Seems to me Wilder is okay at home for now.

Maybe I am mistaken, but I think other coaches from smaller schools will be in attendance as well. Satellite camps aren't just about the host school and the big name coach that comes. It's about showcasing the athletes' talent. At least that's my understanding

Yes, what Wilder is doing will benefit everyone involved; including ODU and local high school talent. Im not sure why our fanbase complains about every single thing that goes on.

It's the off season. Time to complain (though I'm more concerned that we can't fill 3 or 4 open basketball scholarships that we've had open for a year.)

Exactly, some of these kids will get opportunities they didnt have, but I guess some fans feel their satisfaction is more important than that.

The people on here represent a small portion of our fan base.
There is no off-season for those who gripe about just about everything ODU does, or just about every person in authority there. It's pretty freakin' sad.

Our fanbase is not complaining about this. It is one or two posters continually complaining about it over-and-over.

Satellite Camp revenge? You tried to warn us but no one was listening.

RE: UVa 757 Poster
I don't think any one person gripes about everything that happens, but there are people who have opinions that certain things happening at ODU are not ideal. I would argue that those who see something wrong every once in a while are far more reasonable than those who never see anything wrong. I mean ODU is great, but nobody, no institution, and certainly no poster is right 100% of the time. Why is it so unreasonable to call something out if it does not meet your expectations. Burger doesn't like some things Wilder does, I don't like some of the things JJ does, a few are unhappy with baseball, many are unhappy with women's basketball. It is not like the same people are beating all of the same drums. Some folks just need to accept that there are people who have different opinions than them, and that that is okay.

I still want to know if the kids were monsters before they went to UVa or did they turn them into them. The ODU football players I've seen on campus are not as big as these guys.

They typically have the guys lift right before a photo shoot. It has an enhancing effect. But more importantly, why would anyone try to draw any conclusion between the comparison you are presenting?

Of course UVA is going to have a bigger team in general. Thats why they are a power 5 team and we are in CUSA. But, we have some guys that make substantial gains while on campus; including Taylor Heinicke.

I'm simply curious as to if UVa's has a better conditioning / development program than ODU.

I'm not sure how any of us could know that answer definitively. It's probably a safe assumption since they have been around many decades longer, and they have much more resources to invest. ODU's strength and conditioning program is probably going to improve with the construction going on in that regard.

Come on, man. You aren't going to get any real info comparing a photo to guys you walk by on campus.
However, you should expect them to have a better everything. Their resources dwarf ours and it is not even close.
