Fewer than 2,000 lower bowl seats remain in the lower bowl. We have added more than 7,000 new season tickets already this year. According to the email I just got it is a record rate of season ticket sales. I am not 100% sure but I think this may well be the most season tickets we have ever sold, it will almost certainly be so by opening night. If you have not come down to Miami for a game, this year would be a great time to start. IIRC we had about 33,000 season tickets last year so this year we already have 40,000 plus which is definitely our most in at least a decade. People are very excited about the team again. Should be a great atmosphere down in S Florida!

That fanbase is excited again with a proven coach in town now. Good to see!

link to that story?
What green posted. It just was an email so I don't think there's a news article about it. But it was surprising to me.
Probably not. I'd be shocked if it's not ready, and even if it isn't ready we would probably/hopefully play at the Marlins stadium with rescheduling as necessary...

The issue wouldn't be WHERE to play, but rather, WHICH of the already sold tickets won't be honored because there aren't as many seats...!

I'm even excited about Miami football! It will be fun to see what a quality coach can do with all that Miami talent. Go Canes!

Exactly which makes me think that even if the stadium isn't completely ready we'd still play in it anyway. Our last several home openers have had at least 40k+ so even the Marlins stadium wouldn't be big enough. The only one that would be large enough would be the Citrus Bowl stadium in Orlando and, well, that's 3.5-4hr from the university... and I wouldn't want to drive all the way there...

I think Miami is just an absolutely terrible job. I think this program is bankrupt. I think it has a delusional fan base thinking this is the ’80s and the ’90s and maybe even the early part of the new millennium. I don’t get it. I don’t know why any coach in their right mind would want this job.

Honestly I am worried that they might give my tigers a run for their money.

Has anyone listened to his show & then accused him of being intelligent?
I was referring to if the game is moved. No other stadium in the area has as many seats.
Nowhere near enough to reach that capacity. Granted FAMU opener game will almost certainly not be a sellout but still. Marlins Park only holds 34,000 for football games so that would not be ok unless they could put in a ton of temporary bleachers. But even then, that would be iffy. I am still pretty sure they will open at (formerly) Sun Life Stadium regardless.
