Good video. I remember when that happened, really terrible.

How is the city of Tuscaloosa doing as far as rebuilding and healing?

Tuscaloosa rebounded fairly quickly and well. The state pulled together which is what I would expect of Alabamians. In retrospect the scary part to me is that it was 5 years ago. It seems like it happened just a few months ago to me. We once had a funeral home around here that handed out nice ink pens to local businesses. The pen had the name of the mortuary on the side with this motto, "Time flies." I used to think that was pretty funny. It gets less funny every year now.

RE: 5 Years Later
We live in Huntsville. I was home with the wife and a 3 week old baby that week. Fortunately for us, her parents lived in Florence at the time, so we hopped in the car that night and stayed there for a few weeks until the power came back. Our house was ok, although our roof took a beating and got replaced courtesy of State Farm. We're going to retire near the beach - at least you know when a hurricane is coming 03-wink

Tuscaloosa is in great shape.

If anything it cleared areas for development.
