Baylor isn't a stinker. In many ways they are the third best candidate in the state. The problem is the word "third".

Well evidently some of your cohorts think Baylor is a stinker. Just like there are folks in the ACC that would classify West Virginia as our "stinker".
You know I have always liked Baylor in the SEC and as for West Virginia, the positives for the future outweigh the bad.

I agree that we are all going to have to take some school that isn't on our priority list if we are to get things done. It's why I've also consistently considered 18. It seems to me that getting PAC help is unlikely. If so we are going to have to go to 18 to get things done.

I've wondered at times if the pac12 would/could swoop in and invite 8 - everyone but WVU and ISU. That would give them 20 and make it easy to divide into 5 team pods that mix and match to form 10 team divisions. The LHN, as always, is the turd in the punch bowl - Texas would never let it go or agree to integrate it into the pac12 network. Then there's the LHN -ESPN ties to deal with. It will never happen, but it's as much fun to consider as the rest of the scenarios.

If they did swoop in for 8 I think AAU Iowa State (with rival in the Big 10) would be in and Baylor would be out.

Or Ren the ACC could cut Pitt, Syracuse and B.C. Loose and the SEC could add everyone else except for Wake. That would be a 24 school SEC dominating the whole region with its own network (which has two spare channels already) and we would have 4 six team divisions.
