Let's just get two or three kids from the CBHS team.

Just hire a JC coach and have him bring in about 5 of his guys.

They aren't going to be able to cobble together anything better at this point.

Josh needs to recruit anyone who can dribble and run at the same time. I cringed everytime I saw Dedric dribbling on the floor.

BUT, likely not...

I see us signing a mix of JUCO leftovers (all the top ones are committed), REALLY under-qualified grad transfers, and maybe a REALLY low end HS recruit.

Hoover is a pure shooter with a mid range game as well and Josh turns him down? Sometimes I just don't get it, but CJP if you read here, great shooters, or even one, would allow you to spread the floor for your bigs like Marshall and Lawson. I think we are in on a transfer guard named Payne, but if you bypass Hoover, well, I don't get your reasoning. You take players all the time that are undisciplined, and don't know the difference between a good shot or a bad shot and you pass on this kid. I'm trying to be positive but it is stuff like this that makes it hard to defend the program when you turn down a pure shooter for what? I think back to your critical mistakes, and so many of them are fundamental. If you can't coach them up, and wont hire an assistant that can, get kids that understand already basic fundamentals like how to dribble and shoot. They will make other players on the team better.

You should be begging this young man to be a Tiger right now, with 6 scholarships in tow, are you saving them for a Laurenburg Prep? I have been trying to defend Pastner for the sake of the program, but why would he turn away a young man that can shoot like this? There is not one Tiger on our roster who can shoot like this young man from 3 or a pull up on the break and knock it down and Pastner turns a blind eye to him. I'm beginning to think maybe Josh wants to get himself fired and collect a payday? I just don't get it but if Pastner is doing this intentionally he needs to be fired for cause, do not collect 10 million dollars, do not pass go and possibly never coach in D1 again.

It is hard to remain positive with news like this out there but for the sake of this program I will try. If I were a big booster and thought you were shortchanging me, this University and this city to collect a big payoff, just because you think you can make it happen by ruining Memphis Basketball, well, I promise I would find reason to fire you that would void your payday. I'm pretty sure at least a few of these boosters know how to play this game much better than you. You had best get your hind end in gear regarding recruiting this week. If you don't sign this kid, well you best be pulling rabbits out of your hat. I know it is your strong suit, but really, you have 4-5 players lined up better than this young man? I just don't believe anyone, supposedly with Pastners intelligence, could be so inept in so many areas, yet I just don't want to believe it is intentional.

I just want to see us turn it around with or without Pastner and it looks like it will have to be with him so I'm trying to get on board. Decisions like this on Pastners part are, well

Now word is Memphis is going after PG Tobias Howard--who is getting offers from Gardner Webb, UT Martin and Radford. Must mean they see the writing on the wall with Fisher.

So in the last 4 years we have gone from fighting schools like Kansas, & Florida for recruits and now we hope to beat out powerhouse programs like Gardner Webb & Radford for players. That's one HELL of a fall. Lord help us! Thanks Josh
