Awesome ! As a Life long Dolphin Fan since '65, I approve of this Stadium. The Hurricanes will make great use of it. Can't wait to go to it when I visit My best friend just up the road in Wellington, Fl

it's the latest pic of phase 2 renovation I could find ...
ushering in a new era of South Florida football with a steel-framed canopy to reverberate noise and refresh from tropical wind, rain & rays ...

Miami Dolphins founded in 1966

FISH STORY
They were laying the ground work in late '65 . Velda Farms was an original team sponsor of Theirs. I was at Perry jr. High in Miramar when it was announced and a lot of students were given charter membership into the Dolphin Huddle Club Velda Farms sponsored. But yeah technically 1966 was the real first full year of the organization.
With Sun Life Stadium upgrades running several weeks behind schedule and tens of millions of dollars over budget, UM athletic director Blake James said this week that UM is putting contingency plans in place in case the stadium is not playable in time
It's difficult to see the Dolphins not doing everything humanly possible for the stadium to be ready, but they admit a weather disaster, such as a hurricane, could cause a delay. And there could be a delay even if there's no hurricane, because they're significantly behind schedule.

WANDERING EYE
They could certainly move the week 2 Florida Atlantic game to Florida Atlantic. Week 1 vs. FAMU, maybe the Marlins park?
I recently got to tour the @MiamiDolphins stadium renovations, and it's clear they took a fan-first approach. I'll be writing on how the renovations benefit @MiamiHurricanes later this week!
