Sad? Not really. UAB Basketball was relevant before him and will be revelant long after him. Sure, this has the potential to disrupt the current momentum somewhat, but a lot of that will depend upon who is his replacement.

As long as you hold together the core group of players you currently have I think you will be fine as long as you don't hire a complete loser.

You have a lot of young talent coming back as long as they don't transfer. You'll be fine as long as you don't bomb the new coaching hire.

The roster is why most of blazernation wants the interim/assistant coach Rob Ehsan as the next coach. He was responsible for recruiting most of our roster anyways. Rob coached at Maryland (Gary Williams) and VT before coming to UAB.

Stanford is one of those jobs you just don't turn down when offered. I don't blame Haase. I'm just glad he didn't take a job at another mid major just to get out of C-USA.

UAB should be in a good situation to land a quality HC

According to Bowling Green Daily News, UAB offered Stansbury their position and he declined it.

He may have declined to interview or discuss it...but he was not offered the job.
