The best interests of the CA and the best interests of the University do not necessarily line up.

But that's how it should be....eh? Part of our great system of checks and balances.

If everybody was in the same bathtub.........yuck that thought.

Somebody reported this, so they had to do an investigation. Since someone brought up Watergate, and we are always talking about Bruce Pearl, both are fine examples of the truism: that the Cover up is ALWAYS worse than the crime. Glad they aren't covering this up. Marc P. is an excellent investigative reporter. you want to scare a local politician, tell them that Marc P. is doing a piece on them...Just my speculation, I don't think this came from Rudd's office, I think it came from within the Athletic Department. Not exactly a well kept secret that it is very dysfunctional, and more people from there have transferred (most to Missouri) under Bowen, than hoops players under Pastner.

Unfortunately, no active sports in Memphis worth discussing. MEMPHIS at home trying to figure out how to get an NIT invite. Grizzlies starting any 6'6" fella age 20-30 who has previously seen a BBall. Can't occupy them (CA) with legitimate sports news, so we get BLAH.

True, but if the CA guys would rather cover the B12 than what's left of an American, think about it.

CA would rather report on what is left of the AAC. Big 12 would require them to eliminate some of their SEC coverage.
