I'm a big fan but missing Spring Ball has only given him a deeper hole to dig out of if he were to come back. The talent's there, just not sure of he's a "The Hard Way" type of guy.

That's really too bad, the whole Huff situation. He's quite the runner with the ball, and we really needed that last year, and will need it this year, unless the younger guys really step up.

Huff running yes

Huff blocking needs some work. His "LOOKOUT" blocks didn't do much for the ginger headed QB's health.

We have other backs who can step up nicely if Huff does not return.

Yes, I am not minimizing his blocking or lack thereof, BUT...
his running will not be replaced.
Certain we will have other good backs...and perhaps one or two at his level (doubt it...at least not yet).
Huff had the ability to run through and past people. And, I would gander that his next year would be his strongest.
His inability to be a complete player is/was major, but in a vacuum, we cannot discount his running talent.
Not a guy you ho-hum lose at NIU.

I would love to see Huff in Turner's position. Not much blocking to do on a jet sweep.

No doubt about it, but the players I spoke with (and these are players that when they say something you know it's not for nothing) said that Mister looked like he could be something special. Now, he needs to stay healthy, but he was a highly touted back coming out of high school and would have been Indiana's starting RB if he didn't injure himself. That will be the big question mark for him, but from what i've heard he looks really good.

Yes. Numerous times at Rita his senior yr.I want to say he transferred from Richards.

He was awfully good.Better runner than passer, but decent arm strength. To me, seemed lanky like a qb, not really built like a rb. He was all set to to go to Iowa St until they let coach(es?) go if I remember. I thought as a QB, but I guess not.

Can't doubt his athletic ability. I assume bulked up some, especially during rehab.
