Good stuff. The only name on that list i would say to stay away from is King Rice. The guy can coach but he's not the best guy to be representing a quality institution like Tulane. IMO he's a powder keg of stupidity that has the potential to go off at any time. Again, just my opinion.
STansberry is another to stay away from. State turned into a dumpster fire before he left. Plus the things that the ncaa allows in the sec will get you post season bans anywhere else. He cant recruit without cheating.

Tubbs is the Lebo ofCincinatti
My favorite Tubby story. When he was at ole miss, he was speaking in Gulfport ms at the Gulf coast touchdown club. That was at the same time Spurrier was at florida.
Tubbs told a joke. Do you know why Spurrier wears a visor?? To hide his circumcision scar.

New names in the Tulane search are Doug Gottlieb and James Jones (Yale). My guess, knowing what I think Troy Dannen is looking for, is that the interest from Tulane is stronger with Jones than it is with Gottlieb.
The AAC being a four bid league with a great TV contract, Tulane will have a lot of good options in the existing coach ranks.

Jones would be a good fit.
What am i missing with Gottlieb? I know he played at OK State but has he ever coached anyplace, even as an assistant? I only know him from radio and TV, i would think he would need a bit more on his resume to coach in a major D1 conference than that.

I would hope it's not Gottlieb. The guy has never coached before, never recruited, he's been in a radio booth for a decade and a half. Or is this another Doug Gottlieb?

If Dawkins can bring the same resume to UCF (NIT championships, Sweet Sixteen appearance) we'd be thrilled as a fanbase. Perhaps that speaks to how low are expectations have been set, but it is what it is.
