You mean there was a real thread? I didn't even see it.

Some people have this narrative in their head that they're good fans and support the team and there is a whole other side that dislikes the Tigers and aren't really fans.
It's absurd and egocentric. Everyone on this board is a tiger fan. Everyone
Well...not everyone. But most

First of all, the Tigers are a bunch of mostly 18-21 year old kids who wear our school colors and play their hearts out. They sometimes make mistakes. Sometime they lack effort. Sometimes they're human. But they are always Tigers. And we should always support them.
Now, about coach Pastner. He's run an incredibly clean program for 7 years and had a decent amount of success. He's been a positive role model (you want your kid to act just like Cal?) and a good ambassador for the University who has made a positive difference in many people's lives by his acts of kindness and compassion.
Has he struggled developing some players? Arguably so. Have we lost more games than we, as Tiger fans, would like? No question. Has the declining attendance had a negative impact on the program. Very likely.
But regardless, he is our coach right now and what happens after the season has been decided and won't be swayed by a couple of wins or a loss in the tournament. To think otherwise is to be naive.
If you're a Tiger fan cheer for the Tigers until the season is over.
If you cheer against the Tigers, no matter your rationale, you're not a fan. Period.

Eh...I hate Pastner not as a person but as our head coach. That said, I've been waiting for the conference tourney all season as our only chance to make the dance. Rooting like hell for them. Go Tigers!

We're cheering for the future. Not for the dismantling of our entire Athletic program. Have you seen the recruits coming in for next year?
