RE: Well...it's Western Kentucky
WKU is going to be running on anger & adrenaline when the game starts... they want to beat us in the worst way imaginable.
I have a feeling the refs will play a big role in our game tomorrow b/c there is no love lost between these two teams. Whoever's front court gets in foul trouble first will lose this game.

WKU will be tough. We've got to beat them on the boards and we can't let them go up big early and raise their confidence like they did the last game. Hopefully we can find that extra gear Coach Haase keeps alluding to.

The worrying is justified IMO. They are one of two conference teams to beat us and took us to the wire at bartow. I'd be pretty surprised if we lose, but it's certainly a real possibility. I think it'll be a close win for us or a blow out, as blazermatt alluded to.

So much so that today I was reminded of a famous Roy Keane quote about Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson and getting his team ready to play a team when everyone on the team knew they were going to kill them.
“I thought I knew what the group might need, that we didn’t need a big team talk,” said Keane. “It was Tottenham at home. I thought please don’t go on about Tottenham, we all know what Tottenham is about, they are nice and tidy but we’ll f'ing do them. He came in and said: ‘Lads, it’s Tottenham’, and that was it. Brilliant.”
Yup, there is no reason to wind the team up at this point. They all know what is at stake from here out.

Believe we can and we are half way there. For Team UAB, today's game is the first game of nine games, in their quest to win their way to the Final Four. Believe me, it is their goal. Why can't it be ours, too. Honestly, I think they have the potential to achieve it. They have the weapons, and then some. Go Blazers!

Well...it's Western Kentucky
If UAB plays close to our potential, we should handle WKU. I don't know why the WKU coaches and players keep talking about wanting to play us and acting like they should have beaten us at home a couple of weeks ago. The last thing any opponent should be doing is giving our guys motivation because their best shot at beating us is hoping we take them lightly.

It's a mental game they are playing. Remember we are all confident going into the tournament last year about upsetting each and every team, including Iowa St. This is part of it. I remember being highly confident the year we made the sweet 16 because we matched up well with Washington and Kentucky did not have time to prepare for us. We should be able to take care of business today, tomorrow, and Saturday. GO BLAZERS!

We would win our way to the Final Four with seven wins. Nine wins and we are National Champions. As straight jacket crazy as you are, I do admire your optimism. I'm right there with you buddy. Go Blazers!

There's usually a Cinderella or two who make a deep run every year, though not really last year. I think we fit the mold of that type of team - deep, experienced, good coaching, and good talent for a mid major team. Blazers 2016 final four!!
