Obviously it's difficult to win road games with a third string QB (who himself got injured and had to leave the game). I'd imagine most schools would have a hard time going undefeated with that scenario on the table. People always point to that game and completely ignore the context.

Memphis actually did a better job coogin it last season than UH. Blew a large lead away by a backup quarterback, got destroyed by Navy, lost to a mediocre Auburn team in a bowl, and their coach is gone. Everything went downhill for then after that game against UH.

Don't forget the shellacking at Temple. Thank goodness for it, because otherwise UH would have played South Florida instead.

Think this season temple was the overall better team and earned their spot in the champ game. USF got hot, but the right two teams were Champs.

imo it will take alot of if
1- we win out
2- oklahoma wins the big 12/beats ohio state
3- louisiville wins the acc or atleast beat clemson or fsu

there could be a point in the season where weve beaten 1 p5 champ...have a favorable head to head versus another (we beat oklahoma and ohio state lost to oklahoma)..ad beat another potential p5 champ in ul or have another head to head favoring us if they beat fsu/clemson

there is a possibility we beat or have a head to head favoring us versus 3 of the 5 p5 champs (there are 4 playoff spots) ...if everything i wrote above happens we will have a chance but alot of that is beyond our control

What if Army finishes undefeated and Notre Dame only loses to us to be 11-1, would the Cadets stand a chance?

I doubt it, but it would be a great story!

Hopefully, Houston breaks down the #5 glass ceiling.

If Navy nearly made a big bowl last year, why not Army?
