RE: James Still
"His only visitor in Cranston was Bob Zuffelato, a long-time coach and scout on the college and NBA levels. Someone at Eastern Michigan had asked Zuffelato, who lived in New England, to check in on Still."
I hope he stays on the right track.

Indeed.
Regardless of how one feels about Still and the criminal justice system, those who go through it and are rehabilitated is good for both the individual and society.
No one wants to see a wasted life nor do they want to see society pay the high cost of housing an inmate who could make it on the outside.

Missed the point about two guys getting second chances and changing their lives.

I believe in second chances but I draw the line at coaches covering up the murder of one of their players! Bliss is free to live his life but coaching at any level should be off limits for that guy.

Ever notice there aren't any second chance or redemption stories for victims.

There are lots of them. Here are two that immediately come to mind:
Kevin Ramsby, a local Pastor stabbed over 30 times by a home intruded and live.http://www.clickondetroit.com/community/heart-of-detroit/heart-of-detroit-meet-pastor-kevin-ramsby
Alexis Goggins, when she was 6 or 7 she jumped between her mother and an attacker and was shot multiple times and lived. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=4646774

The 'public policy' issue here is what do we, as a society, do for victims of crimes?
Last I checked, there isn't insurance coverage against being the victim of violence. (one can buy health insurance, insurance for automobile automobiles, house insurance for floods, earthquakes, fires, etc.).
