I appreciate your humility and it's true that anyone CAN win these things but usually the best team wins.

The best hotel options are downtown B'ham, Homewood, Mtn. Brook, Vestavia Hills, and Hwy 280 (yes, I know 280 traffic can be horrible, but most folks will be at the tournament during peak traffic hours).

If you really want to live it up, the Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook opened recently.

Best options IMO are the Westin and Sheraton right next to Legacy arena, if it's in your price range.

I should be there Friday, depending on the time, and if MT is still in it.

I will definitely be in The 'Ham on Saturday if either of our teams make the championship game.

Tough to travel with 3 little ones, though.

I have been to every tournament for 10 years (including the Sun Belt), except the one in El Paso.

Holiday inn airport! I'll pray for you

I agree, if i stay in bham only 3 areas i consider. Hoover, the state farm parkway area and the Summitt area.

The first six hotels below are downtown either close to the Legacy or UAB. And they are all nice hotels.

The Tutwiler is a great historic hotel. Still in walking distance to the arena as well.
