Game Week: NIU and @UT
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/standings

I assume our only hope for a home tourney game is to SWEEP both NIU and UT.

NIU plays us in Ypsi and hosts Ball State. Our best hope is for NIU to lose both.

UT plays at WMU (will be a decided favorite) and hosts us.

My guess: We beat NIU Tuesday in a Super Tuesday contest and then we play TOL at 7 on Friday and await NIU's game at 8.

As I read it, we are essentially locked in a battle over 8 or 9 seed with NIU.

The game will be played either at NIU or EMU's Convo (both have 'convos').

RE: Game Week: NIU and @UT
Toledo is one game ahead of us. If we win out, that would include a sweep of Toledo and, at worst, tie us with them. Therefore, we'd host a home game on the tie breaker with them.

I have no confidence at Toledo though. They seem to kill us there every year.

BTW, the BSU @ NIU game will be on CBS SN one hour behind us on Friday.

So if we are in the hunt Friday evening, the TV for game #2 is out there.

• Eastern Michigan almost certainly won't get an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, so they need to earn an automatic bid by winning the MAC tournament.
• As for that automatic bid ... Eastern Michigan has a 3% chance to win the conference tournament, which means the outlook is bleak, but stranger things have happened.

Regardless of what the NIU game means to the standings, I just want to see EMU to pound them. Several Mac fan bases like to look down their nose at EMU. NIU is one of those. No mac school deserves arrogance.

I'm sure some of their fans are trolling on our board right now. They will inevitably respond. Here it comes now…

"No MAC school deserves arrogance." One of the things I cannot stand about EMU people is that damn inferiority complex. Be proud of yourself and school. If you truly feel you are great, why would you concern yourself with what others think?

Says the guy who was engaging NIU fans more than anyone else on this board the last time we played them.

And who on earth are you to lecture people on being proud of their school?! You openly rooted against them last year against CMU and your lover boy Keno. You are literally the last person on this forum that should be calling people out on pride.

Confidence and condescending are two different things.

Sam, you forgot that he admitted to joining MSU football fans in mocking and making fun the EMU team when they played in East Lansing.
