We've gotten into this before. Company X offers "a gazillion dollars" to push a product, but only if they do live sponsorships of said products by "insert host here".

Beck would be the exception of course, since I think he's the lead of Mercury One, so he doesn't really have any excuse to say, "I didn't sell advertising space to {insert company here}.

Again, the one that still pissed me off with Beck was when they went on the "Belize" ads.. that EVERYONE knew was a scam.

I haven't listened to a Rush or Hannity broadcast in ages, so I don't know if they still do the "gold" commercials or not. I know Levin still does (I catch him late nights on Fridays sometimes) and it bugs me a bunch, but I just kinda tune those out when he does them if I have him on.

That was why I made the comment that someone should ask whether he found time to spend in the tanning bed or just used a spray on tan. Somebody needed to point out he isn't one of us as Rubio did last night. But now its harder to get that to sink in.

I don't get this line of questioning. None of those guys are for the little guy. I've watched pretty much all the debates thus far and I have not really heard any of the candidates say anything about what they are going to do for the "little guy".

Only one time that I heard Ted Cruz of all people say he wants to change the widening gap between the rich and poor.

Yeah, always interesting when conservatives abandon the tried and true principal of attacking liberal government and start going after the wealthy and in the process start sounding like liberals.

Yeah. I always thought that Rubio was a conservative that had a weakness for amnesty. I am really beginning to rethink that position. He talks really fast and says a lot about his background and Reagan. But, I've seen Trump land on more conservative positions than Rubio. Rubio starts off in the right direction, but frequently winds up moderating into a liberal direction. I also find it interesting that Rubio calls Trump a conman, but usually the conman or snake oil salesman is the fast talking guy.

The republicans have one simple problem--they don't have a message. Last time they had one was 1994, before Newt decided that Monica was more important than what he had been elected to do. They're not going to win a personality contest with a hard-left-leaning media. So they had better be about ideas. And they need to have the discipline to force the debates to stay on the issues.

That's taken out of context. Trump portrays a tough guy image but has lived a privileged life and inherited millions. There's nothing tough about that versus someone that has actually struggled and made something of themselves on their own merits. That's the American dream, Trump has lived a fortunate life and can't identify with 99% of Americans
