I know all the experts have us in the field right now assuming we win the CUSA tournament. Do any of you think we have any change with an at large bid? I think if we have 26+ wins it will be hard to leave us out..based on what we did last year.

yeah I guess that's true. La Tech had 25 wins last year going into the NCAA and got left out. . unfortunate. Sad this is a one bid league

IF we win our next 6 and it gets us to 26-5 against D1 competition. Plus 1st place in the conference. Plus going 2-0 against 2nd & 3rd Place.

Do that and we face La. Tech. Yea !!! Then we get the 6'8" 3-point shooting left handed jack rabbit that we have no antidote for. A loss here and I can completely see being left out at 26-6.

Beat them and we make the CUSA finals. That is 27-5. Tough to leave us out at 27-6 with a loss, as long as it is to MTSU. I can fathom it happening, but when it does, I will be even more greatly disillusioned with the NCAA tournament than before. And I think the process stinks now.

I still like our chances to win the conference tournament in our backyard. . Time slots hurt us though especially if we're NO1 seed.

yes. there is a chance that we get an at large bid...
IF 20 teams suddenly self-impose a post season ban starting this year, then yes, we could get and at large

otherwise...no

we complain about teams getting at large bids when they are .500 in conference.
we're .500 facing teams ranked between 100 and 200. let that sink in. thats awful.

we have 5 bad losses.
the last time we got an at large (as a play in team), we only had 1 bad loss (at Arizona State)...and 10 wins against the top 100. and he JUST slipped in with an at large.

there is NO WAY our current resume justifies an at large bid

Louisville has self imposed a ban. Does that mean we need 19 more, or still 20?

UAB's RPI is 95 and has KenPom rating of 117.

C-USA is the 21st rated conference out of 32 conferences.

UAB is not even on the radar for an at-large bid.

We just don't have the SOS (non-conf or conf)...it's all or nothing come conference tournament time

if we won the rest of the regular season games and all the way until the finals that would put us at 28 wins..Just sayin..

You have to consider the competition. It's just not there.

If every one of our OOC opponents wins out, our RPI would be in good shape.

When it's all done, I bet you'll be able to make a strong argument that any of the bubble teams would have won more games than us if they played our schedule
