RE: Documents were released on Peyton Manning and the University of Tennessee
Quote:Here is how Dr. Naughtright described the incident:
Q. Let me be very clear there. It was not just his behind, his rear end, that was on your face, but his genitalia was on your face?
A. That's correct. It was the. [sic] gluteous maximus, the rectum, the testicles. [sic] and the area in between the testicles. And all that was on my face when I pushed him up and off. And it was like this and as I pushed him up to get leverage. I took my head out to push him up and off.
Q. And what, if' anything, did Mr. Manning — withdrawn. Did you say anything or scream or as you felt this on the top of your head?
A. I pushed him off of me and I said, "You're an ass."
Q. Did you yell or scream or anything like that?
A. When he turned around and looked at me with the anger in his eyes that I saw, I did not want to get confrontational with him. I could see that anger and when I looked at [another student-athlete, Malcolm] Saxon he was just shocked. He had his mouth wide open and he was in shock. In disbelief.
Q. What did Mr. Manning say, if anything, to you after you told him he was an ass?
A. He had anger and he smirked and he laughed.
Naughright reported the incident to the Sexual Assault Crisis Center in Knoxville "within hours" of the incident.
According to the document, there was a previous incident between the two in 1994, during Manning's freshman year, "which will not only explain the genesis for Peyton Manning's dislike for Dr. Naughright but will be relevant to understanding the 1996 incident."
This previous incident was filed under seal and not included in the documents obtained by the Daily News.
The funniest part was her use of the technical terms. She used technical medical terms instead of balls and behind. The story, if true, goes from cringe worthy to funny and back to cringe worthy.
RE: Documents were released on Peyton Manning and the University of Tennessee
So the truth to this story is much different than the one explained long ago. But what is the 1994 story? Did he want to bang her and she refused so he held a grudge? And the other player witnessed the whole thing and his version supported her version. That was new info.
I would usually say, well, it was 20 years ago, and college kids do stupid stuff. However, the Mannings defamed her and violated their agreement to not discuss the incident publicly (which they did in the book they wrote 15 years ago). Nobody's fault but his own.

There was third party witnesses and they wouldn't lie for Manning, much to his consternation.

What did that person say?
The story being told by the athletic department was "Manning was just mooning one of his teammate's: this guy" - to which the named teammate said "No, that's not at all what happened."
RE: Documents were released on Peyton Manning and the University of Tennessee
The problem with these accusations for Tennessee is that they come at the same time of much more serious allegations. This will likely have some legs, especially if the other allegations continue to be a huge scandal.
Will it impact Peyton that much? Hard to say, but I'm thinking no. His current sponsor at Papa Johns probably doesn't care. And I doubt Budweiser does either. Nor will many of his fans. I doubt his big sponsors will drop him, but it might hurt his earning ability at some point. I doubt Peyton takes much of haircut on this one.
King's definitely writing with a agenda, but that doesn't change what the witness, runner Malcolm Saxon, wrote:
"First, I have stuck to my same story throughout this drama. I told Mike Rollo the next day and Coach Fulmer a week or two afterwards. I had nothing to hide at that point and I have nothing to hide today. I have never been on Jamie's side or on your side (contrary to what the athletic department was telling you and telling her). I stuck to the truth and I lost my eligibility for it. My redshirt request sat on Mike Rollo's desk for months as the process was going forward. I'm not angry about it anymore, just getting a little tired of it!!
"Peyton, you messed up. I still don't know why you dropped your drawers. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe not. But it was definitely inappropriate. Please take some personal responsibility here and own up to what you did. I never understood why you didn't admit to it....
Coming clean is the right thing to do.
You have shown no mercy or grace to this lady who was on her knees seeing if you had a stress fracture.
You might as well maintain some dignity and admit to what happened.
Your celebrity doesn't mean that you can treat folks this way.

1st and only warning on this, take all political talk to the Spin Room!
RE: Documents were released on Peyton Manning and the University of Tennessee
I think more disturbing than the sexual act that allegedly occurred is the attack on her character after both sides reached a settlement with a confidentiality agreement in 1997. According to another article I read, the original settlement with the University of Tennessee was for $300K. That should have been the end of it right there but it appears the Manning's were the ones that couldn't let go of the incident. So much for Peyton's squeaky clean, gee golly gee image.
From the OP article:
Quote:Later, Naughright received an envelope addressed to "Dr. Vulgar Mouth Whited" (Whited is Naughright's married named). The envelope contained Xerox copies of pages from "Manning," a book written by Peyton Manning, Archie Manning, and a ghostwriter. Naughright alleged in her lawsuit that depictions of the incident between her and Manning in the book led to her being demoted and eventually let go from her job at the time at Florida Southern College.
According to the document, during a conversation between Archie Manning and the ghostwriter, the elder Manning referred to Naughright as "kinda trashy," "had a vulgar mouth," and spent a lot of time "out with a lot of black guys and up in the dorm." The document states that Archie Manning later admitted during a deposition that his comments were derogatory.
This book also led to the 2001 lawsuit in which Naughright alleged that the book broke a confidentiality agreement that she and Manning had signed while at the University of Tennessee.
The suit was settled in 2003. Terms of the suit were not disclosed.
Quote:Naughright received $300,000 from the university in 1997, according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel.
During his explanation of the "mooning" incident, Manning said that Naughright, who, at that time, used her married name, Jamie Whited, had a "vulgar mouth."
But the Daily News reports that Manning was unable to find a witness who had ever heard Naughright use profanity.
RE: Documents were released on Peyton Manning and the University of Tennessee
Soooooo....., if no one is going to ask this question then I guess that I have to.
Who was the teammate or what two teammates allowed Manning to put Manning's junk and butt on their faces during the reenactments?
"Naughright also detailed allegations of intimidation, including two incidents in which she claims that Manning saw her in the locker room and then proceeded to pull his pants down and sit on another athlete's face in what was described by the documents as "reenactments" if the alleged assault."
