89 for stAte is a complete joke. stAte will be better than ever before, and will destroy the Sun Belt. Book it.

Let's just say that if the QB situation works itself out that the potential is there for this to be the best team AState has fielded, perhaps ever.
Of course the key word here is potential. Many of the talented players are unproven in competition.

Good to know. We can just call off the season now and start preparing for 2017.

wow, Ark St is one player away from total domination of SBC, glad App isn't on their schedule next year, good luck GS and the rest of SBC that plays Ark St, looks like your going to need it.

Aren't you replacing your QB this season?
If so, that's a pretty SOLID reason to drop you guys down. That's a pretty important part of the offense there.

From all indications they're replacing him with a guy that runs fast....not really replacing him with a QB.

That's the thing though, our projection shows the difference between what our fan base saw, and what national pundits saw.
Most of our fans see Freddi Knighten as the reason we LOST games last year, and games were won because of the players around him bailing him out. Many of these projection sites see Knighten as the reason we WON games last year.
We're replacing every skill player on offense, and while most of our fans truly believe this team will be better than last years, no one is going to believe that based off of high hopes for a bunch of kids with very little D1 experience.
I will however point out that we've won the league 4 times in 5 years, despite never once being picked to win the league in any of those years, so this isn't some unusual position for us.

Wrong player. The kid we looked at as a QB has been moved back to WR. Either James Tabary or Justice Hansen will win the QB job here next season. Most of our fans think Hansen will win, our coaches believe Tabary will win.

If you look at the top three last year based upon the schedule Ark St. is the favorite. They get GS in their house and don't play App. App has to travel to GS, and GS gets both App and Ark St.
App once again has question marks on the OL with limited depth there and lost 3 of our top 5 WRs. Blair is going to be tough to replace as well.

App will go as far as the OL takes us, we are razor thin, and some young guys really must step up, and hope we somehow keep injuries to a minimum if we have any chance to compete for the championship. Also, we cant replace Blair's production, but hopefully, a couple of the young kids will step in and do a good job.

I was merely pointing out how it's not a complete joke. Having watched your team for the past few years, I have no doubt that you will at worst be competing for the conference championship late in the season.
However, the national guys? They look at record, who you lost, and go from there.
I dunno, I don't get too up or down based on preseason projections, recruiting class rankings (I've seen folks say we were top 3 in the conference multiple times, but the results obviously didn't show that), and the like. I don't see it as some insult to the team, I just recognize that 90% of the coverage goes to the top third of the teams, and until my team gets there, I can't really fault a guy for not studying us closely.

That was our problem in 2015...no experience on the OL. Should be much improved there in 2016.

This season could come down to whether GS plays at Ark St. on a Tuesday or Thursday. Either two extra days for Ark St to prepare for their offense or two less days.

Story is that we're going to start preparing for Georgia Southern during fall practice.
One simply cannot prepare for the triple option in a single week.
