I know rivals board owner have to avoid meeting the ncaa criteria of being a booster. But still i would think being in contact with this kid while he is under s/s at Memphis was a violation of some sort.

The point is the kid is under a scholarship agreement to Memphis. The only thing that keeps this guy from being identified as a booster is his contributions likely are in the wifes name. Without permission from memphis any contact discussing a transfer is a major infraction.

Mississippi kid wanting to go to Ole Miss. His teammates called him called him out when he was caught at a Ole Miss game doing the shark fin. His mother may be sick and hope she get better but it might be more of the reason Ole Miss missed on all their LB targets this year and are interested in him now after blowing him off in high school.

Agree. This is about a kid who wanted to go to Ole Miss, but didn't get a scholly offer, so he signed with Memphis. Then he becomes a star for us, and all of a sudden, OM is interested. Sitting out a year would stop a lot of kids, but OM is his "dream school."

I have no idea about his mother's situation, but I'm sure it would be the same, even if his mother wasn't sick. He is applying for a hardship waiver, but it seems odd, b/c there is only a 30-45 minute difference between Memphis and Oxford, to Grenada.
