Do you think playing in the B12 would boost your/mine attendance significantly? No disrespect to our conf mates because we are in this together but USF just doesn't give a shlt about playing Temple/Tulsa/Tulane/Memphis (nobody in the AAC other than UCF). If it was Texas, Oklahoma, (anyone but Kansas and Iowa St) do you think it would create more people going to the games in Philly?

Challenge is...odds are that Temple (or any "East" team) would probably not be in Oklahoma or Texas division...meaning they would only host UT or OU once every 4 or 5 years (or even only once every 6-7 years if they expand to 14 or 16 teams).

While OU and UT are the "big attractive dogs" on anyone's schedule...there is also Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas, Texas Tech, and even TCU or Baylor...that probably wouldn't draw much attention most years.

Add that "other" AAC teams would probably join you in a move...one's conf home schedule may not drastically change as one may have thought.

One slight advantage new Big 12 teams might enjoy (especially those that are located in popular tourist and/or retirement areas) is an increase in visiting fan bases...as for many AAC conf games...the visitors section is made up of a few rows...while some Big 12 schools would bring a lot more fans to those road games (heck, many of their alumni might already live in those areas too).

Of course...that OTHER sport that not many talk about...Basketball, would see a big tick up initially (but if the new team doesn't win much, that would get old fast) too.
