Interesting article following yesterday's USF Homecoming Game vs ECU when less than 17,000 bothered to show up for the game.

NOTE: Author started up one of the USF Student Fan Clubs and even worked with the boosters/athletic club in the past.

Yes we need to improve attendance and I have said many times before it will take more than a year of success. With that said there was a major hurricane blowing just across the state. No one knew if the game was going to be postponed like UCF, FAU and UF all did. I drove up from Miami but everyone else in my group thought I was nuts doing it and passed.

Announced 30k and change. Pretty poor although a day after hurricane threats and played at noon on a hot sweltering day. Not sure when these photos were taken but it wasn't quite that bad. Attendance has actually been decent for the other games and with 7 pm games coming up will go up by over 10k for those.

Yesterday was pathetic. But realistically marginal fans are don't sit around in 100 degree heat indexes at 1pm the day after a hurricane. I could post some worse pictures of BHNS from last year during games but won't bother. What would it accomplish.

USF fans turned out good for the "Red out". USF fans have no right to talk attendance smack to any team in this conference. Instead maybe they need to show up for their own games.

I have never spoken smack about attendance on this board. So if one USF has done that don't lump all of us in that group

It was not directed at you, it was directed to the USF fans who stunk up the Memphis vs Temple game thread. Hopefully that clarifies what I met.

I don't know what a USF stadium normally looks like, but any game on the southeastern coast this weekend was going to have bad attendance. Just unavoidable.
