Koetter was only hired on 1/15, so Monken could've been his first choice too. I've heard $2.2 million for the OC job. Better than most jobs Monken might have been up for next season and closer to the NFL HC job he wants.

We'll be helluva better than the Tiggers next season. You blew your wad this past season and still fell short.

once again, that's the one thing that sticks in my craw about Monk....

I haven't found anything verifying that number and he could have named a bigger one after next year if his balls were as big as his mouth....

he lost all credibility almost to the level of tub-0=goo tyndall....

we've had a number of great coaches....it's actually quite shocking in scope

hell, I'll even give Carmody props as much as I disliked him and his d!ckhead sons....

JB did and does more for southern miss than most.....he's first class all the way....

you're whiffing the yesterday aspect vs. what southern miss faces today....

the game is changing....that's the point....lack of money and support has always been our issue

think about it son....it's missippy and we HAVE TWO SEC TEAMS in this state....

Thank God for Mississippi and Alabama. #48!

It's spelled "Louisiana" LOL.

I really enjoyed living in MS. You could actually do stuff there without worrying about a bunch of richer / cooler people getting there first and having all the fun. This applies to anything: golf, getting a job, picking up women - whatever. And Mississippians aren't so damned materialistic. If they were, they'd change their flag. Ultimately, this lack of materialism probably explains a lot of those #49 rankings.
