I'm just interested in how any fan can blame this on the university, especially to the point to just turn their back on the school? If you want to cry, cry about the coach. He's the one that left, the school is still there. Short of throwing a couple million at him, that they don't have to throw, what could they have done to keep him?

3. SPEND MORE MONEY, DAMNIT. USM has far more fan support than the rest of CUSA. Why do we have the second-smallest budget? Are we really that much poorer than a regional school in WV?? Why was the last call I got from USM a recording of Juan Cox talking about hot dogs? This is pure incompetence.

4. Shelby Thames belongs in prison.

5. Jeff Hammond shouldn't be associated with USM in any capacity.

6. Putting facilities expansion up for a CITY OF HATTIESBURG referendum was suicidal.

7. The Hawaii Bowl decision was inexcusable.

8. McGillis was months late getting us a scale model of the new basketball facility. The real thing remains a pipe dream.

9. Tell Monken to STFU until after signing day damnit!!

That's just off the top of my head. USM has turned into a disaster.

Anyone who blames anything related to athletics on Thames is automatically a total dumb***.

Athletics had no budget under him. They got what they wanted. A common joke in the financial group of the school was they were not allowed to use the word athletic and budget in the same sentence.

he's already changed sides to the csu side....that same fan base I almost had to toss a punch at the liberty bowl (cooler heads prevailed and just called security to have them tossed from the game and laughed at those coksuckers)

A shame USM hired such a damned good coach like Monken that he couldn't be kept longer, now go get another one. They're out there, just need to find one, cultivate them, and wash, rinse and repeat. Just like all of CUSA schools. Your team is loaded to the gills for '16, can't imagine not being able to get an up and coming stud coach w/ brains enough to recognize it.

I feel for you bro. I felt the same way about UTEP about 5 years ago. They didn't wan to fire then head coach Mike Price and then they went and hired an old school basketball coach that seems to only care about defense.

I still follow both teams but I'm not much of a fan anymore. I gave up my season tickets and haven't been to a game in years.
