Not an apples to apples comparison. 3 times more basketball games than football.

5-7 home games always on a Saturday.

15+ home games on days and at times that make it impossible for out of town people to attend regularly.

wait....attendance is higher for an average football game than it is for a basketball game? No way.

Could be the number of games, or heck, even the difference in venue and capacity.

No. Simply look at the theory of supply and demand that everyone likes to apply to the LB. If there are only 45,000 seats, we would sell more like 30,000 season tickets because of pressure of availability. Well.... there are only like... 19,000 seats available in the forum.

Face it. Fewer people want to go see a basketball game than a football game. It's just a fact.

I pay more money for one game of basketball than I do for a whole season of football

The seats that don't sell - up in the "terrace level" - don't cost more than a football game ticket.

You guys keep running this same rhetoric. It don't hunt.

My season tix in terrace level for this year - $120 ea. (which I didn't renew, not worth the increase in price)
My football season tix - $89 ea. (renewed and well worth the price)

My view in bball - crappy
My view in football - great

My Father in Law requested the actual number via the FOIA during the last days of RC's tenure.

Actual was about 9,200. RC liked to include all the student tickets, band members, faculty and staff members, and other freebies in the "20K season tickets" number.

He was such a worthless POS.

The article stated that season tickets were "below 10,000" when Bowen arrived.

Actually Bowen said 2000 when he got here.

It was actually a few less than that, lol.

I think this article had a typo because I swear it originally had 2k instead of 10k.

I don't see how 2k is possible unless he is counting paid for season tickets. After all, he was hired in June of 2012. At that time of year most folks had not yet paid for their 2013 tickets.

My guess is that we had about 9k season ticket holders for the 2011 season and only about 2k had already renewed and paid by June 2012.

Why would any one sit up there where the team looks like ants? I got HD tv at the house.

I totally agree. I went to December graduation and sat in the 4th row on the club level, and even that was too far away to make out individuals.
